Rick has a master’s degree in social work and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, San Bernardino. Rick is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with thousands of hours of mental health therapy experience. Before moving to Wisconsin, Rick worked in Children’s Protective Service in California helping “at risk” children and strengthening their families. Rick began working in the field of Mental Health for the Tomah VA Hospital in 2008 and transferred to the Wisconsin Rapids VA clinic in 2015. He retired from the VA system in 2022. In 2016, Rick also began working part-time as an independent mental health clinician and continues in that capacity today. Rick is a “Wisconsin Batterers Treatment Providers Association – Certified Individual.” Rick works with all ages and is especially sensitive to problems faced by women, children and adolescents.
