With a compassionate genuine style, Karalee creates an atmosphere that embodies warmth, empathy, and sincere curiosity so clients can explore their innermost selves. She practices from a psychodynamic orientation that encourages exploration of clients’ early attachment relationships, interpersonal patterns, and defenses against challenging emotions.
Karalee MAC LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lakeland University. Karalee is passionate about counseling and has experience working with a wide variety of ages. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help individuals who struggle with abuse and trauma. Karalee also provides play therapy for children ages 3 years and up and completed Level One Theraplay® training, using interventions based on Theraplay® principles to support healthy child/caregiver attachment, the basis of lifelong mental health.
Karalee seeks to understand the complexity of each individual person. She believes in the inherent self-worth of individuals and the joy found in being authentic to one’s true self. She is familiar with the range and depth of emotions, patterns of thought and behavior, and can help broaden your awareness of self. Karalee emphasizes self-compassion, emotionally focused therapy, and interpersonal relationships. She hopes to empower you to achieve your goals, and is humbled to support you in your own change process.
