Julie obtained her Master’s in Counseling from Concordia University in 2007. She received her Bachelors in Sociology and minor in Psychology in 1997 from UW- Stevens Point. Julie focused the first part of her career in obtaining all of the certifications required in order to be Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor and Independent Clinical Supervisor. She then later obtained the ability to practice mental health counseling in order to address the needs of those clients who have issues with substance use and mental health issues.
Working in the counseling field for 24 years, the areas of concern that she has frequently seen are concerns of anxiety, depression, substance use, grief and loss, trauma, chronic pain and family/relationship issues. She provides a warm, safe environment to help you find a way to put the puzzle pieces of your life together to form the beautiful picture that you are. She works with individuals, couples and families using a variety of approaches including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Focused and Solution Focused therapy.
