Jaimie obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Lakeland University in 2020 and went on to study for her Master of Arts degree in Counseling. Currently, she has a dual certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor and as a Licensed Professional Counselor In training.
Personal Experience
Jaimie is teaching the Alcohol Education Program at Clinical Services and is helping clients facilitate positive changes in their lives. As her client base grows, Jaimie plans to help others find the most positive path forward using a client-centered approach. She helps clients seeking help with substance misuse, as well as client’s seeking relief from depression and anxiety symptoms.
Jaimie is easy to talk to and open to many treatment modalities. She has a realistic approach that helps the client see a clearer picture of their present behaviors and how they relate to their past experiences or obtained knowledge. She builds up the positive traits of the client while helping them recognize and change the parts of their lives that they want to. She is eager to be part of the client’s growth towards a better tomorrow through self-realization and offers psychoeducation to help the client move forward and maintain their progress. Jaimie is a great sounding board, cheerleader, or shoulder to cry on during any transitional time in your life.
